Make Your Own Glass Cleaner

There are a few recipes for this floating around on the Internet. I have tried this one and it works well: What is needed:

1 Spray bottle (empty)
Rubbing alcohol (Isopropyl alcohol)
Container to mix ingredients

NOTE: You can adjust the amounts below to fit your spray bottle - the important thing is the ratio is 1-1-1. The amounts listed below fill the small spray bottle we use.

Steps: In an empty container mix: 1/2 cup of water 1/2 cup of ammonia 1/2 cup Isopropyl alcohol

Mix thoroughly and add to the spray bottle using the funnel.

You are done!

Works best when using LINT FREE rags or even better: old newspaper. Your windows and glass will be clean and streak free. It's also a hell of lot cheaper than Windex!

...that is all.

  1. White vinegar is the best glass cleaner there is. It will also kill mold and mildew, and can be used as a degreaser.

  2. I second the comment about using white vinegar! It works great. And no harmful fumes, either! :)
